Boutique Hotel
The boutique style of the hotel offers a cozy feel of a B&B with the privacy of a traditional hotel. Private bathrooms, coffee & tea available at no charge 24/7, and modern accommodations are just some of the reasons to choose Thistledown over a traditional B&B.
In addition, La Vigneta Winery and Sweet Pea Bakery are located on the first floor of our historic building. A variety of sweets and beverages are available each weekend.

Locally Owned and Operated
Locally owned and maintained by Adam and Michelle Gardner, an extensive amount of pride and care go into everything that makes Thistledown special. The atmosphere is kept family friendly, welcoming and private.
Historical Building
Thistledown is a stunning early 20th-century mansion built by coal baron John Seger. Deeply rooted in the history of Ligonier, the building features beautifully restored woodwork and glasswork and is worth a visit even if you are unable to stay overnight.
We recently added a gorgeous Stroboid Pavilion to the grounds here at Thistledown. This addition enhances the unique character of downtown Ligonier while creating a new gathering space for both public and private use.
