Room 202, The Seger Room, is our most sought after room and features a large King sized bed.. Also known as the Master’s Suite, it was the bedroom of coal baron and the home’s original owner, John Seger. Facing the front of the house, this spacious room boasts original wood-framed windows with views of charming Main Street and the majestic 100 year old pine tree on the front lawn. Room 202 is one of three rooms at Thistledown which offers an original, uniquely tiled fireplace. Updated gas logs provide a cozy warmth to the room. The very large master bath is graced with an original, three-panel stained stained glass window (rumored by the Seger family to be Tiffany-designed) featuring a swan scene. A relaxing soak in the claw-foot tub is a must, however, if a shower is more to your liking, Room 202 features a large walk-in glass shower, as well.
All of our rooms have Carrier split-system AC units with supplemental heating, making the rooms comfortable year round. In addition, Thistledown offers free WiFi and DirecTV to our guests. Free parking is provided in our lot directly behind the Inn. All this and Thistledown is only a block away from the Diamond, Ligonier’s famous town square, where many quaint shops await in addition to various restaurants and pubs.
